Adubs Linux Rant Warning. So when someone says they want to do something like run KDE Plasma on top of Mint, I’m wondering the thought process of how they arrived at this conclusion and how I can help them work smarter not harder. People get spooked by the idea of moving away from that ubuntu ecosystem too which is frankly silly.
I'm running KDE Plasma on Mint (Uma) and don't have any problems, other than occasional freezingbut had that with Mint anyway! Really like the applications available, I've always used KmyMoney .even on Windows. KRunner is great too! I recently added the Neon repository to Mint and installed KDE.

But luckily Plasma can be installed on Linux Mint so work can be done in KDEnlive, Krita or other tools, without leaving Linux Mint. So yeah, informing Linux Mint users about KDE's call for help might not help directly Linux Mint, but indirectly I think it will. Also who can guarantee that Linux Mint will never offer a KDE edition again?
3 hours ago · Ubuntu Server bootable USB. First time trying to install Ubuntu server and got stuck. Would appreciate any hint. So I've installed many Ubuntu desktops with no issues. I use Etcher to create bootable USBs. Now, I downloaded the Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS and did the same thing, but the machine doesn't recognize my USB as a bootable device!
